Papyrus - prevention of young suicide

New Support for Deaf British Sign Language (BSL) users

Papyrus is a UK wide charity supporting the prevention of suicide, and promoting positive mental health, particularly in young people. They have set up a video interpreting service, using Interpreters Live!,  for Deaf BSL users to get in touch if they are having thoughts of suicide. They have produced a video explaining the service, and all the contact details can be found on their website at https://www.papyrus-uk.org/hopeline247-british-sign-language-support/. You can contact them if you live anywhere in the UK, including Scotland.

In Scotland, Deaf BSL users can also contact Breathing Space using Contact Scotland BSL if you are looking for some immediate mental health support – for more information visit https://www.breathingspace.scot/how-we-can-help/other-languages/.
