Close up of Rayban Meta Wayfarer glasses, which look like dark Rayban sunglasses

We can now demonstrate the RAY-BAN Meta Wayfarer smart glasses

Thanks to a funding award from the Ulverscroft Foundation, we are delighted to now have three pairs of RAY-BAN Meta Wayfarer smart glasses which we can demonstrate to our service users across all areas. These glasses offer a range of features including phone functionality, audio playback, video calls, media capture, and the ability to read and describe the wearer’s surroundings with a simple voice command. The glasses are very easy to use: voice-controlled for all key functions, one button on top for quick photo/video capture, and a touch bar on the arm to adjust volume and quick commands. Their only requirement is an internet connection and a mobile device with the Meta AI app installed.

We have planned sessions by appointment on the dates below so you can try out the glasses for yourself. Please contact one of our ICT Officers, Ryan or Kevin, to make an appointment: ryan.leslie@nesensoryservices.org or kevin.gregor@nesensoryservices.org or telephone 0345 271 2345.

Aberdeen Resource Centre: Tuesday 4th November,

Dundee Resource Centre: Thursday 6th November,

Elgin Resource Centre: Wednesday 12th November.
