What is it and who is it for?
NESS' Service User Forum is open to all NESS service users and is an opportunity to feed back, discuss issues, explore possible solutions and exchange views. You will also find out what's going on at NESS as well as locally and further afield.
Where and when do you meet?
Approximately every 8 weeks, we meet on a Tuesday morning at NESS, Elizabeth House in Elgin. Start time is normally 10.45am. Meetings normally last about an hour but people are free to leave at any time. Dates and times of meetings are advertised in NESS News, on notice boards at NESS premises and on social media. The meeting dates for 2020 are on 18th February, 9th June and 13th October 2020.
What do you do?
We meet to exchange views, discuss issues that affect people with sensory loss, both inside NESS and in the wider community. We have regular attendees who are living with sight loss and/ or hearing loss. A BSL - English interpreter is available as well as a hearing loop system.
How do you join?
There is no formal membership of this group and no committment to attend regularly is required. Anyone who is eligible to receive support from NESS can come along.
What is the subscription or cost to members?
No cost - cakes and beverages are available from 10am through the regular coffee morning.
