What is it and who is it for?

A small but well-equipped modern gym in a safer, less hectic environment. Anyone with sight or hearing loss can book a session and use the fitness room

Fitness room - cross runner When and where?

The fitness room is open at NESS 21 John Street, Aberdeen every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10.00 until 13.00.

What's on offer?

  • A range of fitness equipment is available to use, this includes a treadmill, cross trainer, rowing machine, semi-recumbent exercise bike, upright exercise bike and multi gym.
  • The fitness suite is fully air conditioned for your comfort and a shower is available.
  • The sessions are staffed by volunteers who will assist with setting the equipment and keeping a record of your progress.
  • There is no upper age limit for who can use this facility, but if you have a medical condition other then sensory loss, we would ask you to take the application form with you on your next visit to the doctor/nurse for guidance on the appropriate exercise regime for you. 

How much does it cost?

We charge £1.00 a session
