What is it and who is it for?
A small but well-equipped modern gym in a safer, less hectic environment. Anyone with sight or hearing loss can book a session and use the fitness room
When and where?
The fitness room is open at NESS 21 John Street, Aberdeen every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10.00 until 13.00.
What's on offer?
- A range of fitness equipment is available to use, this includes a treadmill, cross trainer, rowing machine, semi-recumbent exercise bike, upright exercise bike and multi gym.
- The fitness suite is fully air conditioned for your comfort and a shower is available.
- The sessions are staffed by volunteers who will assist with setting the equipment and keeping a record of your progress.
- There is no upper age limit for who can use this facility, but if you have a medical condition other then sensory loss, we would ask you to take the application form with you on your next visit to the doctor/nurse for guidance on the appropriate exercise regime for you.
How much does it cost?
We charge £1.00 a session
