Ride the North 2018
Cycle through the sublime scenery of the North of Scotland in a two day cycle event for all!
Ride the North 2018 takes place on the weekend of 25th & 26th August 2018, with the option of cycling from Castle Fraser to Elgin and back, or from Oldmeldrum to Forres and back.
This is not a competitive event …but an attempt to be more sociable than an event where riders are focused upon times. It is a challenge ride which is a celebration of cycling and with coffee stops, lunches and some small detours to take the more scenic or quiet roads. The nature of the challenge is intended to be achievable (with training) for those with limited cycling experience, but to be tough enough to work for the more regular cyclists. North East Scotland is far from flat and the ride is shaped to include some of the ‘popular hills’.
After registering, participants have to commit to raising the minimum sponsorship of £400 over the registration fee - you will receive a fundraising pack to help you do this.
