BSL interpreted events at Aberdeen Art Gallery

Aberdeen Art Gallery recently reopened following a major refurbishment, and they have a series of British Sign Language (BSL) interpreted events upcoming:

Wed 11th December 2 – 3.30pm: John Forbes Whyte and Aberdeen Art Gallery

  • This event will compare and link the collections of Aberdeen Art Gallery and John Forbes Whyte of which “Le Passeur” was a key piece. This session will include short tours of Gallery 3: The Journey of the Ferryman and Gallery 1: Collecting Aberdeen.

Wed 29th January 2 – 3.30pm: William Stott in Aberdeen

  • This event will focus on William Stott in Aberdeen, including the story of tracking down his painting of Alice Forbes Whyte, and letters from John Forbes Whyte.

Wed 26th February 2 – 3.30pm: The legacy of William Stott

  • This event will explore the artistic influence and legacy of “Le Passeur” and William Stott of Oldham and will introduce “The Tennis Party” by Sir John Lavery.
