Volunteers Needed in Angus!

Three people chatting

NESS are currently supporting the setting up of social/peer support groups in Arbroath and Forfar to enable people in these areas who are experiencing sensory loss to come together on a regular basis.

We aim to enable the groups to run independently with the support of NESS volunteers, and so we are looking for:

Group Volunteers (Arbroath)

Group Volunteers (Forfar)

  • These volunteers will support these groups with their monthly meetings and activities.
  • We are looking for friendly and reliable people who enjoy the company of others.  Induction training will be provided and so no previous experience of groups or hearing/sight loss is required.  A PVG check will be required for this role and we would be looking for a minimum commitment of 6 months.
  • A full role description is available along with our volunteer application form.

Volunteer Drivers (Arbroath & Forfar)

  • These volunteers will assist people to attend the groups in Arbroath and Forfar.
  • We are looking for friendly and reliable people who enjoy the company of others.  A PVG check is required and appropriate training will be provided for the role.  We would ask that people are willing to commit for a minimum of 6 months.
  • A full role description is available along with our volunteer application form.

Out of pocket expenses will be provided for all roles.
