John Street Groups
 
The Partnership Club
Attendance of this group is open to all people with sensory impairment, Deaf people and their family, spouse or carers. This group meets alternate Tuesdays from 2 pm to around 3.45pm. There is a published programme available. There is no transport available to this group. 

The Mens Club
Meets in the cafe every Thursday from 10am - 12 noon.
 
Dominoes Group
This group meets every Thursday from 1:30pm - 3:30pm and obviously plays dominoes!

Deaf Craft Class
This group meets on a Wednesday from 11am-2pm and activities range from sewing and knitting to sugar craft.

The AMD (Age Related Macular Degeneration) Group
The AMD Group meets on the 3rd Friday of every month, from 10am to 12 noon and features a variety of speakers and demonstrations as well as organizing outings twice a year.  The group is open to anyone who suffers from AMD.

The Harmony Group
The Harmony Group meet every Friday from 1pm until 3pm.  Once a fortnight participants can take part in line dancing or listening to music while others dance.  Every other Friday, the group hold discussions or organize trips out for lunch and to various places of interest.

VI Book Club
The Book Club meets on the 3rd Friday of every month from 12:30pm until 2pm.  Participants are provided each month with an audio copy of a book which is then discussed at the following meeting.  This is an excellent way to meet people and to discover new authors.

Deaf OAP Group
The Deaf OAP Group meets every Thursday from 1:30pm until 3:30pm.

Hard of Hearing Group
Meet on the 3rd Monday of every month at John Street from 2pm-4pm.

British Acoustic Neuroma Group
The group meets 4 times per year - details from Steve McBeath tel 01542 882185.

Every second Wednesday
10:30am - 12:30pm

Tinnitus/Hyperacusis/Ménière's group
meeting once a month

Ex-Servicemen's Club
Meeting fortnightly on a Thursday 10:30am to 12 noon

Coffee morning
every Tuesday from 10:00am - 12 noon

Moray Deaf Club
every Saturday 1pm -4pm


Moray Clubs

Elgin VI only
The club in Elgin meets every Monday from 2:00pm - 4:00pm in the Community Centre

Buckie VI only
In Buckie a group meets every
second Tuesday from 2:00pm - 4:00 pm in Burnside Court.

Keith Sensory Group
For people who live in Keith and the surrounding area. The Group meets on the first Thursday of each month from 2:00pm to 4:00pm in the Taylor Court , Keith.

There are also groups for people who have a visual impairment that are not run by North East Sensory Services. These include:

  • Rainbow Group - group run by DeafBlind Scotland for people with a dual sensory loss
  • Bon Accord VI Shooters - Acoustic Rifle target shooting at Denwood Target Shooting Centre, Countesswells Road, Aberdeen
